هاتِها هاتِ بالكبير الكبيرِ

يومَ شمسٍ في عُقْبِ يومٍ مَطيرِ

Bring it, bring the big coffee pot

On a day of sun after a rainy day

يومَ سبتِ واليومُ أوَّلُ نيسا

نَ ويومُ النيروزِ يومُ السرور

A Saturday and the first day of Nissan

The day of Nawruz, the day of joy

زُوِّجَ الماءَ فيه بالقهوةِ البك

ر وكان النثارُ من مَنْثور

Water was married to coffee of blessings galore

And there was plentiful distribution

فاصطبحْها في الدارِ دارِ عُبيدِ الل

ه داراً أضحت عروسَ الدور

So it became, in the house of God’s servants

A house that turned into the bride of homes

إنما أنت يا أميري أميرُ ال

قصفِ والعزفِ بل أميرُ الأمير

You, my prince, are only the prince of hospitality and music

Rather the prince of princes
