The forbidden lovers spend their nights bowing in prostration,
Remembering the slanted gaze of the wild cows among the scrub.
My Lord will not return her to the tribe of tents,
Nor will she walk proudly again over muddy trails.
She went away in disgrace, led by a noble she-camel
Traveling with her between encampments and over sand dunes.
