The guide led the camels in song
And sorrow and burning overwhelmed me
Tell my patience about the gardens, so my tears
Increased from the agony of love and expenditure
Passion led me to the land of Taha
Would that it led like youth led the elbow
They brought me to Hama, for I
Am enamored of the lip of union and arduous
My sins shackled me from travel
Would that I had freedom from its shackles
Solace of the eye, will you find peace
In the mornings, and will I visit the porch
Seeking the garden wherein the light rises high
And a place above the heavens sublime
The grave of Taha, around which angels gathered
And whose scent increases pleasure
Saying peace upon you, O elite of God
And O he whose mission made the times pleasant
Your nearness is what I seek, and the utmost of my hopes
Draw me near, for I cannot bear separation
