سَلام كَرَوض جاده وابل القطر
فَعطر أَرجاء المَحامد بِالنشر
Greetings like a garden path showered with raindrops
Whose fragrance perfumes the precincts with scattering
سَلام بلا عَد وَلَو كُل لَوحة
جَرائد أَقلام تمد مِن البَحر
Endless greetings, even if each tablet
Were spread with quills extending from the sea
سَلام بلا عَد وَشَوق جَحيمه
يُؤجج ما بَينَ الجَوانح وَالصدر
Endless greetings and hellish longing
That ignites between ribs and chest
سَلام بلا عَد وَشَوق بلا حَصر
يزف إِلى بَحر يَفوق عَلى البَحر
Endless greetings and boundless longing
That pours into a sea surpassing seas
سَلام بلا عَد وَشَوق بلا حَصر
إِلى مَعدن الأَفضال وَالوابل المثري

To the source of virtues and fruitful rains

إِلى مَن شَممنا مِنهُ رائِحة النَصر

إِلى مَن رَقا مَجداً عَلى الأَنجُم الزُهر

إِلى مَن رَقا أولى المَنازل في الذكر

إِلى مَن غَزَونا فيهِ طائِفَة الفقر

يَسير إِلى نعمان في ساعه اليُسر

Sailing to Nu'man in the hour of ease

نَسائمكم يَزداد بِالوَقد وَالحَر
Endless greetings, when your breezes blow
Longing increases with the flame and heat
سَلام بلا عَد وَلَو كُل كاتب
يُحاوله ضَبطاً لَما جاءَ بِالعشر
Endless greetings, even if each writer
Attempted to record but a tenth
سَلام يُحاكي البَدر ضوءاً وَبَهجة
وَيزري نِظاماً بِالجَواهر وَالدر
Greetings rivaling the moon in radiance and joy
And stringing order with pearls and gems
