أَرضى وَإِن سَخَطَ العَذولُ عَلَيَّ مِن

حُكمِ الحَبيبِ بِكُلِّ ما يُرضيهِ

I would be content though the jealous found fault with me because of

my beloved's decision concerning all that pleases him.

فَلِذاكَ أَبغَضَني العَذولُ فَزادَني

حُبّاً بُغضُهُ لي فيهِ

Therefore the jealous ones hated me, but their hatred of me

increased my love for him.
