بِحثُ المُحِقِّ مَعَ العَنيدِ لِقَولِهِ

كَمُغالِبٍ لِمُغالِبٍ في مالِهِ

Seeking truth with the obstinate because of his words

Is like two wrestlers fighting over wealth

ذو المالِ يَرضى أَن يُسالِمَ حَربَهُ

وَالحَربُ لا يَرضى بِدونِ قِتالِهِ

The wealthy man is pleased to end the fight

But the poor man will not relent without bloodshed
