وَساحِرٍ زالَ عَقلي

بِالسَحرِ مِن مُقلَتِهِ

And a sorcerer—my reason vanished

by the magic of his two eyes.

مِن حَيثُ وَجَّهتُ وَج

هي عَنهُ أَراهُ إِلَيهِ

Whichever way I turn my face,

I see his eye turned toward it.
