رَشاً عَجَبي مِنهُ وَقَد راحَ قاضِياً
عَلى كُلِّ صَبِّ كَيفَ لا يَقبَلِ الرُشى
How strange he takes no bribes, and still a judge
Though bribes be pressed on him on every hand
وَمَن طَرَفَهُ أَنّي بِبيضِ سَوادِهِ
يَقُدُّ وَلَم يُخدَشُ بِهِ الجِسمُ في الحَشا
And I that fair repute he has, gainsay,
Since with a blackened heart he leads - his hand unstained.
