O you who wish to enrich yourself at the expense of our poverty

With asceticism in you, poverty has enriched us

Had you tasted the flavor of our food and drink

You would not have lived your life hungry and thirsty

And had you walked the straight path of our way

You would not wander confused in the wilderness

And you would know the house we resided in

And enjoyed in it the maidens and our children
