ما كابَرَ الحَسَّ مِثلُ قَومٍ
قالوا بانا نَحنُ الجَماعَه
No arrogance was greater than a people
Who said, “We are the group,”
وَكُلُّ فَردٍ مِنهُمُ يُرينا
خِلافَ مَن أَظهَرَ اِتِّباعَه
And each individual among them shows us
The opposite of whom he claims to follow.
وَلَيسَ مِنهُم إِلّا عَلى مَن
خالَفَهُ يُبدي الشَناعَه
And there is not one among them except toward him
Who opposes, displays vileness.
