اللَهُ يَعلَمُ أَنّي شَيِّقٌ أَبَداً

لا يَنقَضي الشَوقُ حَتّى يَنقَضي الأَبَدُ

God knows I'm obstinate forever

Longing never ends until eternity itself ends

إِن يَشرَبِ الجِسمُ بَردَ الوَصلِ مُنتَعِشاً

يُهدي إِلَيهِ فُؤادي حَرَّ ما يَجِدُ

If my body drinks the chill of reunion refreshed

My heart sends it the heat it feels
