The caravan has departed, the camels' resting place draws near,

And their necks yearn for the song of the camel driver, my eloquent brother,

To revive their listless pace and revive their despair,

With the songs of their guide, O excellent in speech!

So that the lute may establish the marks of bliss,

And return life to bodies and spirits,

That we may tread the paths of joy, guided

By the stars of goblets raised in cheer!
