1. مَن يَخضُبُ الشَعَراتِ يُحسَبُ ظالِماً

    وَيُعَدُّ أَخرَقَ كَالظَليمِ الخاضِبِ

    He who dyes his gray hairs is deemed unjust

    And is counted as ragged as a dark dye

  2. وَالشَيبُ في لَونِ الحُسامِ فَلا تَدَع

    جَسَدَ النَجيعِ عَلى الحُسامِ القاضِبِ

    And grayness in the color of swords, do not leave

    The body of the warrior on the cutting sword

  3. عُمري غَديرٌ كُلُّ أَنفاسي بِهِ

    جُرَعٌ تُغادِرُهُ كَأَمسِ الناضِبِ

    My life is a pool, all my breaths in it

    Are draughts that leave it as yesterday's rain pool
