Will chains ever free themselves?
Evil deeds are truly ugly
In every land an evil ruler
Strikes the people with the worst of plans
Deceit has spread, the powerful
Rely on it, and the weak
You see no honest person
Whose rope is not twisted by fraud
No learned man finds one
To clarify doubts for him
How many horsemen attack innocents
And how many follow their example
Leave them be, and what they wanted
Settle in Jerusalem or Mecca instead
Time has stamped them, the stamp of a blind man
The hands of oblivion will write their stamp
Yathrib has turned against them
And the weeping of Muslims laments them
