1. أَلا عَدّي بُكاءً أَو نَحيباً

    فَمِن سَفَهٍ بُكاؤُكِ وَالنَحيبُ

    Do not count my weeping or lament

    Your weeping and lament is foolishness

  2. مَحَلُّ الجِسمِ في الغَبراءِ ضَنكٌ

    وَلَكِن عَفوُ خالِقِنا رَحيبُ

    To be buried in the dust is confinement

    But the forgiveness of our Creator is vast

  3. وَسِيّانِ اِبنُ آدَمَ حينَ يُدعى

    بِهِ لِلغُسلِ وَالهِدمُ السَحيبُ

    And the time the son of Adam is called

    To be washed and wrapped in his shroud
