The dove knows when it coos at dawn

That disputes don’t prolong their wrangling

Destiny offered it a guide in the form

Of a falcon that startles it with a screech

And the guardians of its nest pretend

To defend it while the king sees its foe and lets it fall

A refugee flees to a poor land

And seizes its riches and grasps its treasures
