تَوَهَّمتَ يا مَغرورُ أَنَّكَ دَيِّنٌ
عَلَيَّ يَمينُ اللَهِ ما لَكَ دينُ
You vainly thought I owed a debt to you,
By God, I owe you nothing that is true.
تَسيرُ إِلى البَيتِ الحَرامِ تَنَسُّكاً
وَيَشكوكَ جارٌ بائِسٌ وَخَدينُ
You journey to the Sacred House in guise
Of piety, while neighbours starve and sigh.
