Songs and tombs are guarded by spears,
No door or guard can stop the fated one.
They say religion itself can be abrogated,
As it was when the Hanifa turned towards Persia.
But no matter what, God does not disappear,
And man will reap what he has sown.
I see my final home awaiting me,
You've forgotten what the neighbors have fed you.
They say hellfire fiercely burns,
While the religious one prays and the debauched carouses.
In the sands are gray hair and childbirth,
Reaping what the harvesters have sown.
Keep away from the yellow one in daylight,
And draw near the blonde one in the dark of night.
Egypt's rulers have now appeared over them -
Are their oppressions as cruel as they used to be?
Better than you in treating the flock,
Was Thujj bin Juf when he stood up and rebelled.
By luck the people's follower becomes the master,
And the wolves eat the lions in their dens.
The horsemen spend the night wrapped in their cloaks,
Then at dawn they mount their steeds and charge.
