Is a dwelling carried away with its gold, while its owner
Does a house in all its beauty disappear,
will leave it behind before long and depart?
While its lord still lives and draws breath?
I see a spark within the body that death extinguishes;
I see a flame in my body quenched by fate,
and as long as you remain alive, there it is, blazing.
Yet while you live, it will kindle anew.
