Long has my life been shackled and sent forth,

He who fears God, he is the one secure and safe.

O shepherd, give the rightful due to the one who destroyed them,

And say not a human erred in his sending forth.

Watch over your God in hardship and in ease,

And leave off your disputing about resurrection and sending forth.

How much has your craving cost you from a suckling lamb,

And one of two colors became nourishment withholding.

You have become miserly towards a ewe in lambing season,

To provide the barest nourishment to the weakest lamb.

You were stingy that her blood nourish her baby,

While you drink the sweetest taste ever-flowing.

Ask the Living One, of Adnan or Saba,

You will find that when the time comes, he is not withholding.
