1. أَلِكني إِلى مَن لَهُ حِكمَةٌ

    أَلِكني إِلَيهِ أَلِكني أَلِك

    Take me to one who has wisdom

  2. أَرى مَلَكاً طانَهُ لِلحِمامِ

    فَكَيفَ يُوَقّى بَطينُ المَلِك

    I see an angel whose clay is for the doves

    So how can the belly of the angel be patched

  3. فَما لي أَخافُ طَريقَ الرَدى

    وَذَلِكَ خَيرُ طَريقٍ سُلِك

    Why should I fear the path of rejection

    When that is the best path taken

  4. يُريحُكَ مِن عيشَةٍ مُرَّةٍ

    وَمالٍ أَضيعَ وَمالٍ مُلِك

    It would relieve you from a bitter living

    And wealth that was squandered and wealth that was hoarded
