يَقولونَ إِنَّ الجِسمَ يَنقُلُ روحَهُ

إِلى غَيرِهِ حَتّى يُهَذِّبَها النَقلُ

They say that the body transfers its soul

To another until the transfer refines it

فَلا تَقبَلَن ما يُخبِرونَكَ ضِلَّةً

إِذا لَم يُؤَيِّد ما أَتوكَ بِهِ العَقلُ

So do not accept the misguidance they tell you

If what they brought you is not supported by reason

وَلَيسَ جُسومٌ كَالنَخيلِ وَإِن سَما

بِها الفَرعُ إِلّا مِثلَ ما نَبَت البَقلُ

Bodies are not like palms though their branches

Rise just as vegetables sprout from the ground

فَعِش وادِعاً وَاِرفُق بِنَفسِكَ طالِباً

فَإِنَّ حُسامَ الهِندِ يَنهَكُهُ الصَقلُ

So live peacefully and be gentle with yourself seeking
