How much good has the newborn kept from his father
And how many mothers has he not obliged
A quarter for the wife if no progeny
And with progeny she gets an eighth as her share
The husband gets half distributed by his sons
From him, though life's path has hidden perils
Some people vainly claimed, their claim so false
So be aware of God, make no such claims
Yazdan pondered, senses all alert
His pondering did fashion verses trim
