المالُ يُسكِتُ عَن حَقٍّ وَيُنطِقُ في

بُطلٍ وَتُجمَعُ إِكراماً لَهُ الشِيَعُ

Money silences the truth and makes falsehood speak

Followers are drawn to it though it has no honor

وَجِزيَةُ القَومِ صَدَّت عَنهُمُ فَغَدَت

مَساجِدُ القَومِ مَقروناً بِها البِيَعُ

The people's tribute kept them from it, so

Their mosques became tied to commerce and trade
