1. الأَرضُ لِلَّهِ ما اِستَحيا الحُلولُ بِها

    أَن يَدَّعوها وَهُم في الدارِ أَضيافُ

    The land belongs to Allah, how shameful that guests would claim it

    And call it theirs, though in the house they're but newcomers.

  2. تَنازَعوا في عَوارِيٍّ فَبَينَهُمُ

    نَبلٌ حُطامٌ وَأَرماحٌ وَأَسيافُ

    They fight over ruins, and between them lie

    Broken arrows, spears, and swords unsheathed.

  3. إِن خالَفوكَ وَلَم يَجرُر خِلافُهُمُ

    شَرّاً فَلا بَأسَ أَنَّ الناسَ أَخيافُ

    If they oppose you, and their dissent brings not

    Evil, no matter, for people will dissent.
