مَسيحِيَّةٌ مِن قَبلِها موسَوِيَّةٌ

حَكَت لَكَ أَخباراً بَعيداً ثُبوتُها

A Christianity which before it was Mosaism

It told you stories far-removed is their proof

وَفارِسُ قَد شَبَّت لَها النارَ وَاِدَّعَت

لِنيرانِها أَن لا يَجوزُ خُبوتُها

And a Persian who for it kindled fire and claimed

For its flames that their extinction was not permissible

فَما هَذِهِ الأَيّامُ إِلّا نَظائِرٌ

تَساوَت بِها آحادُها وَسُبوتُها

So these days are but counterparts

Among which its units and stillness are equal
