Your blind recited over your graves.
And those who came to you brought you kindness.
Your living withheld generosity from them,
So they sought it through the Qur’an from your dead.
How often you are admonished, yet your hearts do not soften!
Blessed be the Creator—how stubborn you are!
You do not listen to those who counsel restraint in summer,
And you shun goodness in winter.
Misguidance is like an instinct within you;
Your elders and your young alike turn to it.
