1. They awaited the air through the kindness of a Lord

    who is mighty, if you leave your desire to Him.

  2. Mourners are sought from among the deaths

    when mourners stand beside a grave.

  3. Those who tell an unseemly tale about you

    bring shame when the earth enfolds you tomorrow.

  4. Your garden withered like a meadow when there flared

    embers from a blaze of grief that withered you.

  5. Drink your fill, and leave the shallow pools

    and basins from which you would drink.

  6. God kept you from bias and injustice;

    so give thanks, for His blessings have reached you.

  7. Someone other than you is more deserving of reproach

    in gracious words, O you whose toothstick is sweet.

  8. I withheld fashioned gold from your limbs

    for fear of what your detractor might say.

  9. Your departure is beyond doubt,

    and the days have destinies that carry you away.

  10. God turned you away from us when we spent the night

    near your encampment or your banner.
