هذا المحصب يا قلوصي من منى

قدح المناخ به وقد نلت المنى

قد طالما رافقت ظلمان الهوى

فرحاً وطايرت السماوة والسما

Long have I accompanied the darkness of passion

Happily, and flown are the heavens and the sky

وقطعت كل دوية لو أنها

سارت بها الحدواء عثرها الونى

And crossed every desolate place, if it

Proceeded with it the afflictions, stumbling due to love

مهما تعرف حثها لو رامها

قطعاً سليمان لقصر وانثنى

No matter how much you get to know urging her if he intends

Cutting off Solomon, to the palace and bent

خريتها قد ضل فيها والقطا

والضب أضلل مكنه مذ أمكنا

Its shrubs are lost in it, and the deer have lost

Their habitat since they settled

مترى النجوم غوائراً ونواجداً

فيها ومنها من هنا فإلى هنا

Do you see the stars hidden and lamps

In it, and of it from here to there

وتظن ومض سهيلها قبساً على

كف تمسح بالتراب لمن رنا

And you think the twinkle of Suhail is an ember on

The palm wiping dust for the one who called

ولكم وحشت بها الذئاب عواسلاً

ولكم وردت بها المياه الأجنا

And how much the wolves have missed it, friends

And how much the waters have returned to it, strange

ولكم وصلت بها هجيرك بالسرى

فحمدت وقتي الضحى والموهنا

And how much I reached it with your ruins in the night

So I praised my time, morning and evening

حتى لقد بلغ الذميل بك الوجا

والنص والإنجاب أوحيك العنا

Until the train reached you, the intent and

The truth and inspiration, your affection

هذي المواقف والمساعي والصفا

لما وصلت بنا لها فلك الهنا

These are the stations, efforts and purity

When we reached it for it, so for you are congratulations

للَه ثم لك المحامد بعده

فتحمدي يا ناق شكراً حمدنا

To God then to you praises after Him

So praise, O she-camel, thanking our praise

ألقي الجران بباب ليلى وارزمي

وقفي على الركن اليماني أينما

Cast the saddle at Layla's door and fasten

And stand at the right corner wherever

وسلي سؤال الناجيات فإنني

بالباب ناديت المهين معلنا

And ask the question of the confidantes, for I

Called at the door, the disgraced, announcing

يا من له تعنو الوجوه خواضعاً

ها كلنا لك يا مهين قد عنا

O you, for whom faces bow down humbly

And to you after the lands all of us

وإليك من بعد الديار فكلنا

شوقاً إليك وحب بيتك قد دنا

Longing for you and love of your house have neared

And we all for all you approve if

وجميعنا لجميع ما ترضى إذا

وفقتنا لرضاك حبا أمعنا

You guide us to your approval, loving have intended

Make us your sons and sons if you accept our repentance

تبنا وأبنا إن قبلت متابنا

أوسع لنا يا مستعان ذرعنا

Or expand for us, O helper, our scope

Hopeful of your acceptance we came to you and all of us

لرجاك أحرمنا إليك وكلنا

لرضاك أحللنا تقبل حلنا

For your approval we put on Ihram, so accept our Ihram

We came to your house as visitors out of love

جئنا لبيتك زائريك محبة

طفنا السبوع لعل تقبل سعينا

Circling the week, maybe you'll accept our effort

And we have strived hoping for acceptance from you

ولقد سعينا نرتجي منك الرضا

فاقبل مساعينا إليك وسعينا

So accept our efforts to you and our strivings

And we have intended, for your pleasure, Zamzam

ولقد قصدنا في رضاك لزمزم

للاغتسال عساك تقبل غسلنا

For ritual washing, maybe you'll accept our washing

And tomorrow to Arafat we'll ascend and for it

وغداً إلى عرفات نصعد ولها

نرجو رضاك بحيث ما عرفتنا

We hope for your acceptance wherever we've known

My Master, there is none but you to take refuge in or

مولاي ليس سواك من لاج ولا

من عاصم عصم الضهيد الموهنا

Protector to protect the fallen, disgraced

I am the one in sanctity and I came repenting to you

أنا ذو حرمت وقد أتيتك تائباً

فارحم عبيدك مذ أتاك وما جنى

So have mercy on your servants since they came to you and what they sinned

My sin seems light in weight but

ذنبي يخف فيقعان لوزنه

وعظيم عفوك لن يكال ويوزنا

Great is your forgiveness, never measured or weighed

If it is said who is more sinful

إن قيل من ذا أكثر الناس الخطا

والعمد في ذنب فذلكم أنا

And deliberate in sin, that's me

The vigor of youth has gone and no virtues have I gained

رحل الشباب ولا اقتنيت فضيلة

والشيب حل ولا صلاحاً مقتنى

And old age came and no righteousness have I attained

We lust and play in vanity freely

نهوى ونلهو بالغرور مجانة

يغرى الغرور بنا المغر المفننا

Vanity tempts us, the tempting, fascinating one

So hopes have taken us away from the eternal home

فعدت بنا الآمال عن دار البقا

وهي الطليق السبق في دار الفنا

It is release, precedence in the mortal home

نبغي الغنى من هذه الدنيا ومن

قد فاتت الأخرى فقد فقد الغنى

We seek riches from this life, and from

What is past, so the riches are missed

آذاننا عن مزجر القرآن قد

صمت وتسمع للملاهي والغنا

Our ears from Quran's deterrent have

Deafened, and listen to trivialities and singing

عن صالح الأعمال قد قعدت بنا

همم وهن لضده سبقت بنا

Away from righteous deeds, our aspirations have stopped us

And weakness, to its contrary, surpassed us

يا صفقة المغبون يا لهف امرئ

يوم التعابس والتغابن أغبنا

O deal of the cheated, O greed of a man

On the frowning, defrauding day has cheated us

لا حيلةً لي لا ولا حول ولا

لي قوة إلا بقدرة ربنا

I have no tricks, no strength nor

Power but by the power of our Lord

أنا تائب لك آيب أنا واقف

بالباب يا مولاي أسألك المنى

I repent to you, come to you, I stand

At the door my Master, ask you wishes

أجب الدعا هذي يدي فيها الوعا

والضر نخشاه وها هو قد مسنا

Respond to the prayer, here is my hand in which is the pain

And harm we fear, and here it has touched us

اللَه أنت المالك القدوس وال

جبار والحق المبين المحسنا

O God, You are the Holy, Just,

Almighty, and True, the clear Beneficent

أنت السلام الوارث المتعال وال

متكبر الصمد المجيد المؤمنا

You are the Inheritor, Exalted, Glorious, Independent,

Lofty, Eternal, Protector, Faithful

يا أول يا آخر يا ظاهر

يا باطن يا ذا الجلال مهيمنا

O First, O Last, O Apparent

O Hidden, O Majestic, All-Encompassing

أنت العلي بل العظيم الواحد ال

أحد الكبير الماجد الباقي الثنا

You are Most High, truly Great, One

God, Matchless, Almighty, Praiseworthy, Everlasting, I repeat Your Praise

أنت الجليل بل الغني النور يا

وهاب أنت اللطيف الطف بنا

You are Glorious, truly Rich, Light, O Giver,

You are Subtle, show tenderness to us

الرافع الهادي البديع المالك ال

ملك الرشيد المحصي علمك خلقنا

The Exalter, the Guide, the Inventor, the King

The Ruler, the Righteous, the Reckoner, You created us

الخالق الباري المصور المقيت

بل الحسيب الرقيب باسط رزقنا

The Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner, the Sustainer

But the Reckoner, the Watchful, the Spreader of our provision

الباعث العدل المقدم والمؤخر

والمتين المقسط أقسط عدلنا

The Resurrector, the Just, the First and the Last

The Firm, the Equitable, most just in our justice

أنت الودود العفو والرءوف الر

رحيم بل الكريم البر عفوك برنا

You are the Affectionate, the Pardoner, Kind

But the Bountiful, Your pardon is our righteousness

يا حي يا غفار يا رحمن بل

أنت الحليم مجيب دعوة من ثنا

O Living, O All-Forgiving, O Merciful

You are truly Forbearing, answerer of our prayer

يا قابض يا باسط يا خافض

يا رازق أنت المذل المعزنا

O Withholder, O Spreader, O Abaser

O Sustainer, You are the Humiliator, our Glory

أنت الوكيل الواسع المبدي ال

معيد الفرد يا تواب فاقبل توبنا

You are the Trustee, the Vast, the Originator, the Restorer

The One, O Acceptor of repentance, so accept our repentance

الجامع المحيي المميت النافع الض

ضار الولي فأنت ثم ولينا

The Gatherer, the Giver of Life, the Taker of Life, the Benefactor, the Harmful

The Guardian so You are our Guardian

المانع المغين ومنتقم أيا

منان يا سند عزيز عزنا

The Preventer, the Helper, and Avenger

O Bestower, O Mighty, our Might

أنت البصير بنا السميع القاهر

قهار مقتدر ربنا

You are the All-Seeing of us, the All-Hearing, the Dominant

The Omnipotent, our Lord

أنت الشهيد بنا الخبير وأنت يا

قيوم يا غفار فاغفر ذنبنا

You are the Witness over us, the All-Aware, and You O Everlasting

O All-Forgiving, so forgive our sin

أنت الشكور القادر الحكم القوي

ي لما تشا الفتاح أنت افتح لنا

You are the Most Appreciative, the All-Powerful, the All-Wise

O Strong, O Opener for what you will, You are the Opener, so open for us

أبواب سبلك إننا لك وفد

أجزل عطاك لنا وأحسن وفدنا

The doors to Your paths, we are Your delegation

Bestow on us Your bountiful gifts, and bless our delegation

بأسمائك الحسنى دعوتك فاستمع

لو لم أكن ممن أجاد وأحسنا

I called You by Your beautiful names, so listen

Even if I am not one who excelled and did good

فأنا المسيء وقد قصدتك راجياً

فوز المسيء إذا استقال المحسنا

I am the wrongdoer, and I intended You hopeful

Of the successful wrongdoer when the good refrain

فاجعل رضاك إلى الصلاح دليلنا

واجعل حفاظك في المخاوف أنسنا

So make Your approval a guide to our righteousness

And make Your protection our companion in fears

وواخلف علينا بالهداية يومنا

وامح الذنوب وما اقترفنا أمسنا

And make guidance for us tomorrow in our day

And erase the sins and what we did yesterday

وابلغ رجانا واتسجب لدعائنا

واقبل مناسكنا وعظم حجنا

And deliver our hopes, and respond to our prayer

And accept our rituals and magnify our Hajj

واقبل هديتنا الثناء وكن بنا

برّاً وللنهج المقدس أهدنا

And accept our gift, praise, and be for us

Righteous, and to the sacred path guide us

واقبل مساعينا لقربك زلفة

واختم لنا برضاك ساعة نفرنا

And accept our efforts to be near You, humility

And conclude for us with Your approval the hour we depart

وعلى رضاك وفي رضاك فأحينا

وعلى رضاك متى نموت أميتنا

And upon Your approval, and in Your approval so enliven us

And upon Your approval when we die, make us die

واجعل لنا الفردوس مأوى واكفنا

شر الذي نخشاه من هذي الدنا

And make Paradise our dwelling and protect us

From the evil we fear from this life

يا رب صل على النبي محمد

والصاحبيه وحبذا من أمنا

O Lord send your prayers upon Muhammed

And his two companions, excellent are those who believe in him

يا سعدنا إن لامحت أبصارنا

أنواره وسنا محاملنا السنا

O our joy if our sights behold

His lights, and years carrying his exploits

فمتى متى حتى أقبل تربه

لثماً ويسقي بالتباكي وجدنا

So when, when until I kiss his grave

And water it with tears and our fervor

وإذا تحاشدت المحامل حوله

قمنا فننشد من غرائب مدحنا

And when the years gather around him

We stand and recite from the wonders of our praise

اللَه قد أثنى عليه فكيف لي

فيه الثنا واللَه أولاه ثنا

God has praised him, so how can I

Praise him, and God granted him praise

لم أحص عد مديح أحمد لو أنا

كونت كلي للمدائح والسنا

I have not counted the praise of Ahmed, if I

Were entirely for praises and poetry

مني السلام عليك يا مولى الورى

وعلى ضجيعيك السلام تأثنا

From me, greetings upon you O Master of Worlds

And upon your two companions, greetings I double
