I knocked on the door of the noble Layla

And uncovered her veil and robe from her

A girl who has remained throughout time as lovely

As the nights of youth left her still in her prime

She has the awe of the great with no need to kiss her

All who behold her are filled with reverence for her

Her gaze brought no one sadness unless it wept

And no thought stirred her heart to answer it

Though the cloud of grace has shrouded her in mystery
