لا تتركنّي من ذنبي على وجلِ

Overlook my trespasses and failures.

موتى وهجرك مقرونان في قرن

فكيف أهجر من في هجره أجلي

To die and abandon you are twins,

How can I abandon the one who determines my fate?

وليس لي أمل إلا وصالكم

فكيف أقطع من في وصله أملي

I have no hope but to be with you,

How can I sever ties with the one who is my hope?

هذا فؤادي لم يملكه غيركم

إلا الوصي أمير المؤمنين علي

This heart of mine is possessed by none but you,

Except the heir, the Commander of the Faithful Ali.
