أَلا دارِسٌ إِلّا لَهُ مِنكَ ساكِبُ

وَلا مانِعٌ إِلّا لَهُ مِنكَ طالِبُ

Behold, none studies but has a pouring from you,

And none forbids but has from you a seeker.

فَيا قَلبُ ما يَفنى عَلى ذاكَ مَطلَبٌ

وَيا عَينُ ما تَبقى عَلى ذا السَحائِبُ

So oh heart, no wish perishes for that sought,

And oh eye, no tears remain for those clouds.

وَلي فِكرَةٌ تَحتَ الدُجى في مُلِمَّةٍ

دَجَت فَتَوارَت في دُجاها الكَواكِبُ

And I have a thought in the darkness of night,

That darkened and hid among its darkness the stars.

وَإِنَّ جَناياتِ العِدا لَكَبيرَةٌ

وَأَكبَرُها ما قَد جَناهُ الحَبائِبُ

And crimes of enemies are indeed great,

And the greatest is what the loved ones have committed.

فَيا ساكِنَ القَلبِ الَّذي هُوَ طائِرٌ

وَيا حاضِرَ القَلبِ الَّذي هُوَ غائِبُ

So oh resident of the heart that is flying,

And oh present of the heart that is absent.

تُكاثِرُني مَهما حَضَرتَ وَإِن تَغِب

عَلى مَقصِدي مِنكَ النَوى وَالنَوائِبُ

You preoccupy me no matter if you are present or absent,

My determination from you is in vows and tribulations.

لِمَن فيكَ للُوّامِ لِلناسِ كُلِّهِم

لِأَعدايَ لِلواشينَ مِنهُم أُراقِبُ

For whoever is in you, for those blaming people,

For my enemies, for the slanderers among them I keep watch.
