صُفرَةٌ بِالمُحِبِّ راعَت مِنَ السُق

مِ وَأُخرى عَلى الحَبيبِ تَروقُ

A saffron on the lover's cheek was nurtured

And another on the beloved was approved

فَإِذا ما رَأَيتَ هَذا وَهَذا

قُلتَ مَن مِنهُما هُوَ المَعشوقُ

So if you saw this one and that one

You would say which of the two is the beloved
