Your servants prove the equal of a thousand Samaw’als,
And fidelity among them calls forth a thousand Samaw’als.
Were the Nile to rival the abundance of your forbearance,
It would not equal even a mustard seed’s weight of it.
The pens of rhyme write of their love for you
In lines no one can efface except with a kiss.
You faced your enemies with your very lives—
As armor; while, if they face you, they come with a mighty host.
