تَعاطى مَنالاً لا يُنالُ بِعَزمِهِ

وَكُلُّ اِعتِزامٍ عَن مَداهُ طَليحُ

He sought what cannot be attained by resolve,

And all resolve that exceeds its scope misses the mark.
