O you who when you rule the country

    Your proclamation is spread everywhere

It is only met with chains and lion cages

Whoever faces you becomes a prisoner

You have clothed it in darkness at noon

And filled it with light at nightfall

You have kindled it into a blazing fire

To bake the enemies at their time

For their wounds the spears become probes in the morning

And the stabbing swords, and the cries become embers
