1. وَإِنَّ اِخضِرارَ الغُصنِ بَعدَ اِستِلانَةٍ

    وَإِنَّ تَمامَ البَدرِ عِندَ مَحاقِهِ

    Though the branch, when bent, turns green again

    And the full moon regains its shape anew

  2. حَمى اللَهُ مِن حُمّاهُ وَردَةَ خَدِّهِ

    فَلا مُلِّيَت مِنهُ بِطيبِ عِناقِهِ

    God has kept the rosy cheeks of youth safe

    From the sweetness of embraces passing through

  3. وَمِمّا أَطابَ النَفسَ أَنَّ سَقامَهُ

    سَيَعقُبُهُ وَصلُ الشِفا بِفِراقِهِ

    And the heart is glad because every illness

    Will be followed by recovery and health when you are gone
