He who I cannot bear to be estranged from me commands me,

And it would suffice me if he but looked upon her, it would suffice me,

He intimates to my body the separation of his heart.

Yet I have remained thus - can a body exist without a heart?

And yet I reproach the days I spend in this state -

Far be it from that face to feel the pain of rebuke!
