يا عَمرو قَد لاقَيتَ فارِسَ هِمَّةٍ

عِندَ اللِقاءِ مُعاوِدَ الإقدامِ

O Amr, you have encountered a knight of high resolve,

Who, in the heat of battle, returns ever to the charge,

مِن آلِ هاشِمَ مِن سَناءٍ باهِرٍ

وَمُهَذبينَ مُتَوّجينَ كِرامِ

From the House of Hashim, of dazzling radiance,

The refined, the crowned, the noble ones,

يَدعو إِلى دينِ الإِلَهِ وَنَصرِهِ

وَإِلى الهُدى وَشرائِعِ الإِسلامِ

Calling to the religion of God and to His victory,

And to true guidance and the laws of Islam,

بِمُهَنَّدٍ عَضبٍ رَقيقٍ حَدُّهُ

ذي رَونَقٍ يَفري الفَقارَ حُسامِ

With a sword of Indian steel, sharp and fine of edge,

A gleaming blade that cleaves through vertebrae,

وَمُحَمَّد فينا كَأَنَّ جَبينَهُ

شَمسٌ تَجَلَت مِن خِلالِ غِمامِ

And Muhammad is among us, as if his brow

Were a sun unveiled from amidst the clouds,

وَاللَهُ ناصِرُ دينِهُ وَنَبيِّهِ

وَمُعينُ كُلِّ مُوَحِّدٍ مِقدامِ

And God is the Vindicator of His faith and His Prophet,

And the Helper of every bold monotheist,

شَهِدتَ قُرَيشٌ وَالبَراجِمُ كُلها

أَن لَيسَ فيها مَن يَقومُ مَقامي

Quraysh and all the Barajim tribes have borne witness,

That there is none among them who can stand where I stand.
