إِن كُنتَ ذا عِلمٍ بِما اللَهُ قَضى

فَاِثبُت أُصادِقْكَ وَسَيفي مُنتَضى

If you knew what fate Allah decreed

If you possess knowledge of what God has decreed,

I'd stand by you, my sword unsheathed

Then stand your ground that I may face you, my sword unsheathed,

وَاللَهُ لا يُرجِعُ شَيئاً قَد مَضى

وَاللَهُ لا يُبرِمُ شَيئاً نُقِضا

For Allah will not undo what's done

For God does not bring back a thing that has passed,

Nor make uncertain what is sealed

Nor does God make firm a thing that has been undone.
