إِن عَبداً أَطاعَ رَبّاً جَليلاً

وَقفا الداعيَ النَبيَّ الرَسولا

Truly, a servant who has obeyed a Sublime Lord,

And followed the Summoner, the Prophet, the Messenger,

فَصلاةُ الإِلَهِ تَترى عَلَيهِ

في دُجى اللَيلِ بُكرَةً وَأَصيلا

Upon him the blessings of the Divine descend in succession,

In the darkness of night, at early dawn, and at dusk.

إِن ضَربَ العِدا بِأَبيضَ يُرضي

سَيِّداً قادراً وَيُشفي غَليلا

If he strikes the enemy with a gleaming blade that pleases

An Omnipotent Master, and quenches a burning thirst,

لَيسَ مَن كانَ صالِحاً مُستَقيماً

مِثل مَن كانَ هاذياً وَذَليلا

The one who is righteous and upright is surely not

Like the one who is raving, delusional, and abased.

حَسبيَ اللَهُ عِصمَةً لِأُموري

وَحَبيبي مُحَمّدٌ لي خَليلا

God suffices me as a safeguard for my affairs,

And my beloved, Muhammad, is my intimate friend.
