لَمّا رَأَيتُ الأَمرَ أَمراً مُنكَراً

أَجَّجتُ ناري وَدَعَوتُ قَنبَرا

When I saw the matter was a heinous abomination,

I kindled my fire and called for Qanbar,

ثُمَّ اِحتَفَرتُ حُفَراً وَحُفَراً

وَقَنبَرٌ يَحطِمُ حَطماً مُنكَراً

Then I dug pits, and pits again,

While Qanbar smashed the wood with a violent crashing.
