I speak to my soul while it is constricted with anguish,

And Time has made its strange misfortunes kneel upon it:

"Have patience with the severity of days, for they surely have

A resolved ending, and patience belongs only to the noble.

God will soon grant an opening with a blessing,

In which, for one like you, lies rest from all weariness."
