1. عُدَّ مِن نَفسِكَ الحَياةَ فَصُنها

    وَتَوقَّ الدُنيا وَلا تَأَمنَنها

    Reckon life as part of your own soul, so safeguard it,

    And guard against the world; do not place your trust in it.

  2. إِنَّما جِئتَها لِتَستَقبِلَ المَو

    تَ وَأُدخلتُها لِتَخرُجَ عَنها

    You arrived only to advance toward death,

    And you were ushered in solely to depart from it.

  3. سَوفَ يَبقى الحَديثُ بَعدَكَ فَاِنظُر

    أَيَّ أَحدوثَةٍ تَحِبُّ فَكُنها

    The talk of you will remain after you are gone, so consider:

    Which story you would love to be, and then become it.
