قَد قيلَ إِنَ الإِلَهَ ذو وَلَدٍ

وَقيلَ إِن الرَسولَ قَد كَهنا

It has been said that God has a son

It has been said that God has a son,

And it has been said that the Prophet was a soothsayer

And it was said that the Messenger was a soothsayer.

ما نَجا اللَهُ وَالرَسولُ مَعاً

مِن لِسانِ الوَرى فَكَيفَ أَنا

Neither God nor the Prophet escaped

Neither God nor the Messenger were spared

The tongues of mankind, so how could I?
