1. يُقْدِمُ إِقْدامَ الأتيِّ المُفْعَمِ

    أو سابقٍ يوم الرهان مِرْجَمِ

    He charges with the valor of a hardy knight

    Or a runner on the day of high-staked fight

  2. إلى طِعَانِ الفارسِ المُسْتَلْئمِ

    والضَّرْب في رأس الكميِّ المُعلَم

    Into the warrior's thrusts, well-armed and bright

    And strikes the helmeted foe with all his might

  3. وهو من الأناةِ والتَّلَوُّمِ

    في السَّلْم للجاني وللمستسلِمِ

    Yet he is patience exemplified

    Making peace with aggressors, far and wide

  4. يُربي على الطَّود المُنيف الأيْهَم

    ببذلِ غمْرٍ وسيْفٍ مِخْذمِ

    Raising the glorious, battle-scarred guide

    With ample provisions and sharpened blades beside

  5. أغَرُّ يجْلو كلَّ خطْبٍ مُظلِم

    بمُحْصدٍ منْ رأيهِ ومُبْرَمِ

    An overwhelming flood engulfing evil's tide

    With wisdom's harvest and decisions well-plied

  6. إِن أضرمت نار وغىً لم يُحْجم

    أوْ عَنَّ عارٌ مُوبِقٌ لم يُقْدِم

    If he lights a fiery conflict's spark

    Or a scandal escapes that leaves its mark

  7. وافٍ إذا واددتهُ لم يصْرِمِ

    ومقْسِطٌ إذا قضى لم يَظْلِمِ

    He will heal it before it leaves a trace

    And when he judges, he rules with grace

  8. أحمد مختارُ الإمامِ الأعْظَمِ

    تاجُ المُلوكِ ذو المقامِ الأكْرَمِ

    Ahmed Mukhtar, the greatest Imam's heir

    The jewel in the crown of the noble and the fair

  9. وشَرف الدين الجَزيل الأنْعُمِ

    And honor of the generous creed so rare
