1. لا أوحش اللّهُ من أنوارِ منْقَبةٍ

    هي الجَلاءُ لِتَهْمامٍ وإِظْلامِ

    The light from Minqabah's lamps is never dimmed

    It shines through gloom and shades of darkness

  2. تُضيءُ عن هاطل الكفَّين يحسدُه

    دَرُّ الغمام ولُجُّ الخِضْرمِ الطامي

    It outshines the dripping from cupped palms - though they be envied

    By a flowing, bountiful rain and thick, rich pastures

  3. أعْني أبا جعفرٍ تاجَ الملوك ومَن

    حَوى العُلى بين إِنْعامٍ وإقْدامِ

    I speak of Father Ja'far, crowned the King of Kings

    Who combined glory with bounty and daring exploits

  4. مروي الهوامد والبيض الصَّوارم من

    ماءِ المَكارمِ سَحّاً أوْ دَمِ الهامِ

    His resolve is hardened and his blades are sharpened

    With the waters of honor or blood of great feats

  5. إذا نأى مطلبٌ أدْنَتْهُ هِمَّتُهُ

    إليه ما بين أرْماحٍ وأقْلامِ

    When a goal lies far, his zeal draws it near

    Through a dense array of spears and pens

  6. فللمكاتيب حَبْرٌ غيرُ ذي حَصرٍ

    وللكتائبِ ذِمْرٌ غيرُ مِحْجامِ

    For the scribes he has ink of boundless supply

    For the brave troops, countless swords to rely

  7. يجلو الخطوب إذا اشتدَّت غياهبها

    بواضِحَيْنِ سَنى رأيٍ وبَسَّام

    The gloom clears through wisdom and strategems

    Shrewd counsel and a discerning guide

  8. أنا الوَليُّ يعيبُ الدهرُ أجمعُهُ

    ولا أعيبُ ولا أُعْزى إلى ذامِ

    Blame me the world may though nothing comes their way

    I take no blame nor complain anyway

  9. فإن نأيتُ فَوُدي غيرُ مُنْتزِحٍ

    وإِن شعثْتُ فودِّي غيرُ أرمام

    If I'm far, my love stays true and is never swayed

    If disheveled, my affection will never fade
