1. أبْلَجُ ما في بُرْدِهِ مَعابُ

    يُكْرمُ منهُ الظَّعْنُ والإِيابُ

    The refreshing cold is bountiful

    It nurtures the meager and the ample

  2. دُنُوُّهُ الإِعْشابُ والإخصابُ

    وبُعْدُهُ الإِمحالُ والإِجْداب

    Vegetation and fertility draw near to it

    While the impossible and acquisitiveness remain distant

  3. سَحٌّ إذا ما بخِلَ السَّحابُ

    ماضٍ إذا لم يقطعِ القِرْضابُ

    A torrent when the clouds are not miserly

    Decisive when the wolves do not obstruct

  4. قاضٍ إذا ما اخْلَوَّجَ الصَّوابُ

    أزْهَرُ لا بُخْلٌ ولا حِجابُ

    Dispensing justice when rightness opens candidly

    More flourishing without stinginess or barriers

  5. تحْمَدُهُ الضِّيفانُ والصِّحابُ

    إذا دَنا محْلٌ أو احْتِرابُ

    Guest and companion praise it

    When an abode draws near or is aloof

  6. شكا ظُباهُ بَطَلٌ ونابُ

    تاجُ المُلوكِ البطلُ الغَلاَّبُ

    A hero complained of his separation and turned back

    The crown of kings, the prevailing hero

  7. بحْرُ نَوالٍ كُلُّهُ عُبابُ

    طوْدُ اِحْتمالٍ لاصَفاً ولابُ

    An ocean of generosity, entirely overflowing

    A towering patience, no depleted or exiguous

  8. قد أذْعَنَ الأبطالُ والكُتَّابُ

    وشَهِدَ المزراقُ والكِتابُ

    The heroes and writers have acquiesced

    The ships and books have witnessed

  9. بأنَّهُ المِقْدامُ لا يَهابُ

    وأنَّهُ البَليغُ لا يُعابُ

    That he is the bold, unafraid

    He is the eloquent, faultless

  10. كَفُّ الوزيرِ أحمدَ الرَّبابُ

    ليس لها في جَوْدِها اِغْبابُ

    The hand of minister Ahmed Rabab

    Nothing clouded in his generosity

  11. جَمُّ القِرى أوْطانُهُ رِحابُ

    يُثْني عليه الرَّكْبُ والرِكابُ

    The expanse of towns, his habitations spacious

    Caravan and riders extol him

  12. فَغُنْمهُ الثَّناءُ والثَّوابُ

    His gain, praise and reward
