1. العَيْنُ تُبْدي الذي في قَلْبِ صاحبِها

    مِن الشَّناءَةِ أوْ حُبٍّ إذا كانا

    The eye reveals what is in its owner's heart

  2. إنَّ البَغيضَ لهُ عينٌ تُكَشِّفُهُ

    لا تَسْتطيعُ لما في القلْبِ كِتْمانا

  3. فالعينُ تَنْطِقُ والأفْواهُ صامِتَةٌ

    حتى تَرى منْ ضَميرِ القلبِ تِبْيانا
