I say to a troop like torches, pass around
The cups of joy, and the night has let down its tresses
Lightly, on the humps of tall palm trees, as though they were
Tents of air, or solid battlements
The steeds of resolve almost step up to the heights
With them, before the gale of the pacing she-camels
When they rend an aroma of glory from the blowing wind
They incline towards it, from the chests of the mounts
The side of the splendor of the religion, support them
For he is a supporter of the dejected, and success for the hopeful
A young man not prohibited from the abundance of his chastity
Nor for the noble man among them a squanderer
Brave is his heart for the battles of misfortunes
If its events shake with tremors
A protector for the anguished, and patience for the ignorant
And violence for enemies, and generosity for the beseecher
When he takes out his spear and sword
And disgraces his opponent with wounds and crowds
And Khazari is not a destroyer that attacked him
The making of a hand at the head of a barren palm tree
A nimble, adorned, twisting serpent
Commanded and sharpened by the best whetstones
He takes the stab to the throat when
He goes to provide reinforcements and wage battles
